Hi Bertie.
ReplyDeleteI must say the photo's are looking real neat.I can see your running programme needs attention. Now that i have found you folks, thanks to Trudi, I intend sending you LEON's joke of the day for weary travellers in due course. Have a great time - oh forgot joke of the day:
Two penquins in a shower
Never mind ....... tell you later.
Leon G
Thanks Leon!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Bertie and team.
ReplyDeleteHope this note finds you all in good spirits and such-like.
This morning's funny relates to those sick letters sent to school when the child is off sick:
Santie was nie by die skool nie, want ek is 'n enkelouer en was in
die bed met Giep. *Spelling is so belangrik Sjoe!
Cheers - until tomorrow.
ps. let me know exactly where you are so that I can adapt the funny accordingly.
Thks Leon, we are now in Dubrovnik
DeleteHello the travellers and friends. This is the Leon on-line. Dubrovnik - sounds like one of those songs from the Beatles. I hope things are going swimmingly - most of the pictures you posted is near water. Hope you all have strong bladd...rs. I enjoyed the wine bottle one.
ReplyDeleteNow for the joke of the day......
Paddy tells Mick
He's thinking of buying a Labrador.
Dont be stupid say's Mick,
Have you seen how many of their owners go blind.
Cheers until tomorrow
Thanks Leon, we are having a great holiday. Realy impressed by Croatia.
ReplyDeleteGood day all.
ReplyDeleteMust say from the photos posted, absolutely beautiful country. Hope these are actually from the country and not photo-shopped (knowing your IT skills).
So what have I for you today in the line of light humour. Game show contestant:
Jamie Theakston: Where do you think Cambridge University is?
Contestant: Geography isn't my strong point.
Jamie Theakston: There's a clue in the title.
Contestant: Leicester
Travel safe, post again tomorrow.
Leon G
We had a great day-thanks Leon. Have a good weekend and if you are running tomorrow please remember to collect my medal, and to cut down on the amount of walking.
ReplyDeleteGood evening from a very cold Pretoria. Saw an artic fox for the first time today. It seems to enjoy chasing my dog around but illusions are such that they last for only a short time. No running races at the moment Bertie. Coach reckons I can take a day or two off while you are on holiday.
ReplyDeleteOh yes - the joke of the day you may ask:
On a Cowboy's tombstone:
FIVE RULES FOR MEN TO FOLLOW FOR A HAPPY LIFE:
1. It's important to have a woman who helps at home, cooks from time to time, cleans up, and has a job.
2. It's important to have a woman who can make you laugh.
3. It's important to have a woman who you can trust, and doesn't lie to you.
4. It's important to have a woman who is good in bed, and likes to be with you.
5. It's very, very important that these four women do not know each other or you could end up dead like me
Hi Bertie and the intrepid travellers. Seems my post somehow got lost. Just as well I checked. I did indicate that I am behind the eight ball due to work coming first, then family and then joke of the day. Anyway no harm done, photo's indicate an amazing country and Leonie (apologies didn't know about your birthday). Photo's make you look really good for a birthday girl.
ReplyDeleteLet me not get side tracked - joke of the day:
A give that girl a Bel's moment:
Employee: Excuse me sir, may I talk to you?
Boss: Sure, come on in. What can I do for you?
Employee: Well sir, as you know, I have been an employee of this prestigious firm for over ten years.
Boss: Yes.
Employee: I won't beat around the bush. Sir, I would like a raise. I currently have four companies after me and so I decided to talk to you first.
Boss: A raise? I would love to give you a raise, but this is just not the right time.
Employee: I understand your position, and I know that the current economic down turn has had a negative impact on sales, but you must also take into consideration my hard work, pro- activeness and loyalty to this company for over a decade.
Boss: Taking into account these factors, and considering I don't want to start a brain drain, I'm willing to offer you a ten percent raise and an extra five days of vacation time. How does that sound?
Employee: Great! It's a deal! Thank you, sir!
Boss: Before you go, just out of curiosity, what companies were after you?
Employee: Oh, Truworths, Woolworths, Edgars & My Credit card.
Cheers until later.
Leon G
Hello all my friends globe trotting.
ReplyDeleteJust to let you all know I have entered the Rustenburg Mountain race 25km. Should be my 10th one this year (I think). My running has improved since Bertie has gone on holiday. Not sure why. Managed an easy 6km this afternoon. Weather is really getting cold after 16h30. Your pictures seem to bring some warmth into our cold place at the moment as well as a tinge of jealousy but then again spring will happen and we will forget the cold.
Anyway, I digress - the joke of the day:
Two penquins in the shower.
The one ........ oh well tell you later.
Enjoy.
Leon G
Hello all.
ReplyDeleteBy now you must be tired of my daily notes. To get rid of me will not be easy. I have noticed that Bertie is not giving me any updates but the photos tell the real story. I was a little disappointed to see very few photos without any beer. Anyway, the joke of the day:
Another one of those "afwesigheids briefies"
Jan-Jan het nie sy huiswerk gedoen nie, nou dwing hy my om 'n verskoning uit te dink. U is sy klashoof, dink u liewers een uit. Ek
het vyf kinders en 'n man en is op gedink.
Cheers
Chat tomorrow - ps where are you folks now.
